The 9090 was the first moka pot in the history of Alessi, which won several Compasso d’Oro awards and was the first Alessi item featured in the MOMA in New York.
Designed by Richard Sapper in 1979 this moka pot became a symbol of innovative design not only for its original shape but also new functional innovations such as the enlarged base to maximise heat, the anti-drip spout and the lever lock.
